Family Law/Divorce

Divorce or separation is often a difficult time for families. You need a firm to help you make informed decisions that are in the best interests of you and your children. Our firm handles all aspects of divorce: filing, responding, obtaining temporary orders, preparing financial disclosures, negotiating custody and visitation arrangements, discussing property settlements; finalizing agreement paperwork, and if needed, trying the case in the court.

We approach divorces with a key concept in mind — if left to the Court, the division will most likely be 50/50. Typically, the best outcome for all parties to a divorce is one they create. We help our clients examine all marital assets, debts, childcare obligations, etc. If the standard threshold is that our client will get at least 50%, we want to make sure it is the 50% he or she really wants.

There are other areas outside divorce that incorporate family law. Guardianships, termination of parental rights, adoptions, and grandparents' rights are all areas in which we provide legal services. Families change and evolve, and often they need legal help to protect their assets, lifestyles, or relationships. If you have questions about a family situation, contact attorneys Parrish J. Jones, or Mitchell A. Routh.
