John H. Hendricks

John H. Hendricks is "of counsel" with the Firm, being semi-retired. He joined the Firm in 1967 having graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School that year. He also did his undergraduate studies there, receiving his B.S. in 1964.

John has 41 years of general practice, with emphasis in litigation, business/commercial and senior law. Currently the emphasis is in alternative dispute resolution, mediations and arbitrations as well as elder and business law. He is admitted to practice before all the state and federal courts of Wisconsin and previously was so act in Minnesota.

He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and served on its Board of Governors. He also served on the Board of Attorney Professional Responsibility’s District 11 Investigative Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Douglas County Bar Association. In 2012 he received the Leonard Loeb award from the State Bar.

In addition, John has been involved in many local activities including serving on the Boards of the School District of Superior, the local M & R Bank (now 8MO Harris Bank), Catholic Charities, Head of the Lakes Maritime Society, Ltd., Superior Business Improvement District, the Human Development Center, and the School District of Superior Scholarship Foundation, Inc.

He is or was a member of the Superior Jaycees, Superior Elks Lodge 403, the Optimist Clubs Junior Achievement, Boy Scouts (local board and merit badge counselor), Cooper School Site Council, Central Learning Partnership, Superior High School Parents Advisory Committee, United States Snowmobile Association, Hammond Ave. Presbyterian Church and Our Saviors Lutheran Church.

He has been honored with the Jaycee Distinguished Service Award (1975) and the Boss of the Year Award (1985).

John was born in Oak Park, Illinois and raised in Normal, Illinois. He is married to Melissa (Lissa) Jarvi and has 2 daughters. John fills his free time with putsing, hiking, kayaking and other outdoor activities.
